Horizontal Steam Engine by Dave Harvey
The model is a horizontal steam engine, powered by a small faulhaber motor. It comes complete with boiler and water tank. Originally it was only going to be a project to build a realistic looking steam cylinder after I found a box of lollipop sticks at work which we use for gluing and was challenged by a workmate to build a model incorporating them! With the challenge set I built the cylinder during my lunch breaks at work just to prove to him that it could be done. The project escalated and within a month I had a full working steam engine motion.
