Heavy Duty Turntable
This heavy-duty turntable is designed for use in place of a Geared Roller Bearing. The bearing is based on a design by Len Hearn of Horley, Surrey UK, found on page 34 of the August 1966 Meccano Magazine. The stand is from 'Spanner' found on page 40 of the November 1965 Meccano Magazine.

For further ideas, the article by Bert Love in his constructors' guide featuring roller bearings by various Midlands modellers is excellent. MW Models still has copies of the book.
The West London Meccano Society have been compiling a collection of articles, now newly illustrated in IsoMec, into a 24-page A4 manual featuring various designs for the theory and construction of "Roller bearings in Meccano" from very small to very large that have been built by members and published in their newsletter over the years. Featuring work by people such as Julian Head, David Nye, David Smithers, Phil Bradley and Peter Goddard. It will be with MW models by Christmas 1998.
